All my life I have actively ignored the fact that I am lactose intolerant. I have been continuing to consume cow’s milk regardless of the discomfort that came along with it. This is purely because all the other alternatives I’ve tried, just weren’t as good as I needed them to be.
I love milk – it may not like me – but I really do love it. So when I shopped for alternatives, I must add that I needed something that would obviously not be exactly the same but rather similar to the normal cow’s milk.
Well, as I already mentioned, I never found one!
Then out of the blue, one day some time in November last year, I stumbled upon the Kabrita Instant full cream goats’ milk and let me tell you my life has been changed forever.
Though, at first I had my reservations, especially about whether or not I will like it – I am very sensitive to taste; I was pretty impressed when I first tasted it and even more surprised by how I felt afterwards – remember the discomforts I mentioned earlier – nowhere to be found!
The Kabrita instant full cream goats’ milk comes in powder format. It is full cream, very easy to mix/prepare, and tastes absolutely delicious.
“It is a good source of essential vitamins (200ml glass provides 11% of the dietary reference intake of vitamin B5). Has added vitamin D – which helps increase the absorption of both calcium and phosphorus in the digestive tract. Provides plenty of calcium, and it is a great source of phosphorous.”
Here’s what I like about the Kabrita goats’ milk:
- Very convenient and easy to mix/prepare – we took with us on our 7 countries trip in December 2016 and loved it
- Tastes delicious
- My toddler loves and enjoys it
- It is lower in lactose – which has been great for my lactose intolerance
- It is full cream milk – I love me some full cream milk, and
- It does not contain any growth hormones
